Main objectives

The main objectives of the GYM4ALL project, an initiative under the Erasmus+ Sport Programme, are designed to promote inclusivity and enhance the physical activity opportunities for children with disabilities through gymnastics. Here’s a detailed overview of these objectives:

  1. Enhance Accessibility and Inclusion in Sports: The project aims to attract and widen access for newcomers, less experienced organizations, and small-scale actors to the Erasmus+ program, particularly focusing on those working with children with disabilities.
  2. Development and Implementation of HEPA Training Module: To prepare, develop, and implement a Health-Enhancing Physical Activity (HEPA) training module specifically tailored for children with developmental disabilities. This module will be based on gymnastics and adapted to meet the needs of children affected by the sedentary lifestyle imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
  3. Building Capacity and Promoting Transnational Cooperation: The project seeks to build the capacity of organizations to work transnationally and across sectors, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and best practices among organizations from different EU countries.
  4. Promotion of Physical Activity through Inclusive Sports: Encouraging the participation of children with disabilities in sport and physical activities, thereby promoting inclusivity and diversity in all fields of education, training, youth, and sport.
  5. Educational and Professional Development: Enhance the skills and competencies of volunteers, coaches, managers, and staff involved in the project to ensure effective delivery of the HEPA training and sustainable project impacts.
  6. Visibility and Dissemination of Project Outcomes: To ensure significant visibility through media, events, and online presence, thereby disseminating the project results widely to maximize impact on the target group and stakeholders involved.

These objectives collectively aim to improve the quality of life for children with disabilities by integrating them more fully into the community and sports activities, promoting their social inclusion, and improving their physical and mental health through structured physical activities.
